  1. Short:    Rocket Exhaust anim using Imagine 4.0 textures.

  6. These are two animation files of the same subject, one in .FLC format
  7. and the other in anim-5 format. It is a test animation of one way to 
  8. create a cool looking rocket exhaust in Imagine 4.0 using the Fire and
  9. Ghostly textures.  One of my pet peeves is that almost every space scene
  10. including Star Wars and Babylon5 use a simple bright light (usually 
  11. accentuated with a glaring lensflare) to indicate the propulsion system
  12. of a ship. I prefer to have a white-hot exhaust jet spewing out 
  13. accelerated mass just to be a little more realistic. After all, if you
  14. are using a propulsion system limited by Newton's laws, then you might
  15. as well depict it as close as possible!
